Zoo in Wiesbaden – trip to Tierpark Fasanerie
Not a wild forest and not a real zoo – Fasanerie Tierpark has a collection of animals that naturally occur in Europe. One can find sheep, goats and rabbits, which can be fed from your hand, if you get some special feed at the entrance. There are also more wild animals like wolfs, bears and deers.
It is a wonderful place for a weekend trip with kids. The park is placed in the forest and has plenty of paths, which makes it also a good destination for a longer walk. At the entrance there is a place with snacks and fast food, but also a restaurant in the Jagdshloss. The best option is to go there by car, but it is also easy to get there by bus (number 33) from Wiesbaden. Its final stop is “Tierpark Fasanerie” and it is just 1 minute walk away from the main entrance.
The entrance is for free and the park is opened whole year round.
