Palmengarten – Botanical Garden in Frankfurt

In the centre of Frankfurt metropolis there is a green island, where anyone can escape from hustle and bustle of a city. The botanic garden called Palmengarten has a beautiful collection of exotic plants. One day is definitely not enough to appreciate all the treasures they have.

Just to mention some of the attractions offered, let’s start with Rose Garden with about 50 different types of those flowers. Then there is a Great Pond – with fish, swans and waterfall. In summer time it is possible to rent there a boat. A nice way to see the garden is to take the Palmen-Express, which operates from April-October and costs just 1-1,5 €.

Garden offers also exhibitions of seasonal flowers, art works, there is a music theater, minigolf and playgrounds for kids – definitely something interesting for anyone.
